Actually its fiction, presented as a handbook, if that makes any sense. Whatever it is, its pretty damn funny. Stages 1-4 should be patented because every man has been at each stage at least once in his life. As far as comedy goes, this should be a movie, the scenes are perfect. San Diego is almost a character in this book. All around Stages perfectly captures what relationship websites, books and therapists attempt to explain about the male psyche and how men deal with relationships.Nothing in this book could have been done differently. There are parts that can be a lot deeper like the friend dating a woman who had been in an abusive relationship, but Stages does a good job not turning the book into a speech and it avoids preaching. All guys should get a copy of the book. Women should read it because it does give a lot of insight into how guys kind of work. The shower scene was classic, I cant wait to tell. Classic material.
